Thousands of Campaign Props on Jalan Raya Bogor Controlled

As many as 1,300 campaign props along Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district, were controlled, Monday (1/29).

The controlling deployed 100 joint personnel from Kramat Jati Sub-district Monitoring Committee, political parties, Satpol PP, police, Kesbangpol, and other units.

759 Campaign Props in Ciracas Controlled

Monitoring Committee Head, Umi Wastiyah, admitted those props were controlled due to broken, dirty, and installed on forbidden spots such as on protocol roadside, flyover, and pedestrian bridge.

"Our focus was controlling props along the roadside of Jalan Raya Bogor," she said.

According to her, personnel also controlled 1,555 props on Cawang Flyover up to Jalan MT Haryono.

Kramat Jati Sub-district Governmental Section Head, Sihar Panggabean, admitted the broken props on Jalan Raya Bogor must be controlled.

"Residents already complaining about this. Moreover, it can endanger the road user," he said.

He added that the controlled props are taken to Kramat Jati Sub-district Office. The political parties are able to take it back after coordinating with Satpol PP and Monitoring Committee.

Meanwhile, Kramat Jati Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Endharwanto, explained the controlling is under Monitoring Committee authority. His side was only assisting the personnel.
